Adding a human touch to blog posts can appeal to peoples emotions because they can find what you are writing about relatable. It can show them the human side of the business, for example that there are real people behind the business and they are relatable in some sense. It makes sense to add a personal touch to a post when sharing updates and customer experiences. Some businesses like to take a more serious tone which can be equally beneficial. I feel like a more serious tone would be ideal for informative posts. If you're teaching about a new product or service, you don't want to be joking or showing that you aren't serious.
Adding a personal touch to my blog posts would actually be beneficial because as an artist because I want my viewers and followers to get to know me as a person and my art process as well as the artwork itself. I think for some businesses it would make more sense to take on a more serious tone, but making some posts relatable could be beneficial to other businesses such as individuals marketing their services.
I already have a blog on my website, and I have two categories that I use so far, which are update and class projects. I plan on adding more such as new painting for non class projects as well as a commissions category (if I decide to accept commisions).
